Our 2-day company trip took place on 23 and 24 October 2024. This time the trip took us to Düsseldorf. At Glasstec, the world’s largest trade fair for the glass industry, we were able to immerse ourselves in the innovations of the entire glass production and processing industry with over 1250 exhibitors from over 50 countries. One of the highlights was the ‘Glass Technology Live’ show, which presented cutting-edge applications such as 3D-printed and recyclable glass. After several steps at Glasstec, we checked into our hotel in the Oberkassel district. We enjoyed a fun and cosy evening together for dinner in the brewery ‘im Füchschen’, where Düsseldorf’s Altbier is served. We had an unforgettable nightcap in the Rheinturm revolving restaurant at a height of 168 metres with a panoramic view of Düsseldorf and the Rhine.
Day 2 started with a tour of the historic city centre with city guide Anja Kühner. The tour of the old Stahlhof and the former headquarters of the steelworks association revealed many interesting facts about the city’s history. With the Wilhelm-Marx-Haus, the Kö-Bogen by star architect Daniel Liebeskind, the ceramic façade art on Paul-Klee Platz and the Kö-Bogen II by Christoph Ingenhoven, Düsseldorf showed itself from its most beautiful side.
