Reto Demont and the feroplan team invited – and everyone came

Clients, friends, employees—the Papiersaal in Sihlcity was filled with invited guests on November 14, 2019. The atmosphere was warm and relaxed from the very first moment. Instead of formal seating, there were casual seating arrangements and a large number of bistro tables. The stage made people curious, as show interludes had been announced. Reto Demont was the first to take the microphone in order to welcome his guests, thank them for coming and then give a brief review of the past 30 years. A success story that all began when facade planning was still pioneering work. A new service in the construction process was born. The milestones: 1989 company foundation, 2000 foundation of the branch in Zurich, 2004 branch in Berne.

feroplan has matured into a renowned expert in the field of building envelopes and facades. In collaboration with their clients, eye-catching and versatile products in the fields of technology and design are created.

Reto Demont’s statement, that he was born 20 years too early, was not entirely serious. He remarked that only now is the development of facades taking on exciting dimensions—as versatile, energy-generating and ultimately, as design objects. To be prepared for the challenges of the future, Reto Demont also announced his succession plan at the same time: Marc Bischoff, a long-time companion and kindred spirit, will become a partner in the company in 2021 and will help shape and further develop feroplan’s philosophy.

Following his speech, Reto Demont made way for Barbara Hutzenlaub, who enchanted the audience with delightful humour, musical highlights from her handbag and insights into her inner world. With skillful yodeling, salsa and her powerful rock voice, she – together with her sensitive musician Coco-Chantal – effortlessly bridged the gap between slapstick and satire.

After a delicious flying dinner, engaging conversations and skillful networking, the highlight of the event was when the Grisons live band «77 Bombay Street» got everyone singing and dancing.

From the very beginning, the four brothers Matt, Joe, Esra and Simri created a great atmosphere with their no-frills acoustic music, interacted closely with the audience, and captivated even those in the back rows.

A splendid and lively end to a successful anniversary celebration!
